Dakhla liegt auf einer 48 Kilometer langen und vier Kilometer breiten Landzunge, die sich vor der Sahara nach Südwesten in den Atlantik erstreckt. Dakhla is located on a 48 km long and 4 km wide tounge of land which extends from the Sahara to South-West into the Atlantic Ocean. Because of the unusual location and and the wide beaches Dakhla is the most beautiful town of the West-Sahara and so there are little beginnings of tourism.
